Second FIPA meeting

Purpose

1. to refine the list of basic agent capabilities whose specification is believed to be achievable in 1997;
   
2. to produce a draft list of items that will be specified in 1997.

How to get to TJ Watson Research Center

There are 2 ways to go (Pete Schirling prefers 1.)

1. DIRECTIONS FROM HILTON TO IBM RESEACH CENTER.
   Upon leaving the hotel there is a traffic light.If you go straight across (slight right jog) and up the entry ramp on to the New York State Thruway you will almost immediately observe signs to 287 (east bound). Take the 287 exit and once again, immediately you will see sign for Saw Mill River Parkway North. Take Saw Mill River Pkway to the Taconic Pkway (signs say Albany). Exit Taconic Pkway at Route 134 and make a right turn at end of exit ramp. Entrance to Research Center is on the right about 300 meters from exit. The trip takes 20-25 minutes at 90km/h
2. Alternate DIRECTIONS FROM HILTON HOTEL TO IBM YORKTOWN
   When leaving Hilton get onto 119. Go East and watch for small green signs to Sawmill River Parkway. Take the Saw Mill River Parkway North to Taconic State Parkway to Exit Route 134. At bottom of ramp turn right and and proceed to TJ Watson Res. Center on your right. (Just a stones throw from the ramp).

Directions from JFK to Tarrytown Hilton

From JFK take Van Wyck Expwy to Whitestone Bridge to New York extension of New England Thruway to Route 287 to New York State Thruway (North). Exit 9 (Tarrytown- last exit before bridge). At the end of exit ramp go left at light. Continue to traffic light and make left. At next light, turn right into Tarrytown Hilton.

To get from New York City to Yorktown

Please note following directions: From JFK take Van Wyck Expwy to Whitestone Bridge. From LaGuardia take Grand Central Parkway to the Whitestone Bridge. Cross Whitestone bridge, proceed North take Interstate 95 Westbound (toward George Washington bridge). Stay on 95 West for about 2 miles. Take Bronx River Parkway (BRP) exit. Go North on BRP, BRP splits after about 20 minutes then bear left onto Sprain Brook Pkwy. Proceed North to Taconic Parkway, North. Take Taconic Parkway to Route 134 Exit. Turn Right on Route 134 to Research Center Entrance (Approximately 500 yards. )
